Heavy Schedule:
10:00 am: Inspections/Authorizations
10:45 am: Novice Speed Tourney
– (under 3 years no fighting awards)
12:00 pm: Christmas Tourney
– ($10 donation, toy, or coat – no extra life for coats. Once the first round of fighting is over, no new combantants can enter the tourney.)
– Christmas tourney is a Round Robin to 16, single elimination until final 2 combatants, then best of 3 matched styles. 1st weapon style chosen by highest precedence combatant.
Donations from heavy tourney and merchants will go to Southwick Community Center, and 502, Eagles Inc.
Rapier Schedule:
Rapier MIC asks that marshals and MITs that wish to help for the day be present on the list by 9:10 am so we can take care of our own inspections and have a quick meeting about the day’s plans.
09:20 am: Inspections/Authorizations
10:00 am: Novice Tourney
– This will be a round Robin fought to best of three, attendance depending. Exceptionally large or small participation may require adjustment to the tourney format as appropriate.
11:15 am: Charity Tourney
– This will be a bead tourney (everyone starts with 2 beads, if giving an extra donation you can start with a 3rd beads, winner takes 1 bead from the loser).
– After 1 hour, or when there are only 5 fighters remaining, whichever comes first, beads will be tallied, whoever has the most points wins.

=|===> Cavendish Knot or Equivalent = Green Bead = 2 points
=|===> Bronze Ring or Equivalent = Yellow Bead = 3 points
=|===> Master of Defence = White Bead = 4 points
– In the interest of supporting an environment of both learning and fun, the tourney will be fought to best of three, and, optionally, dice and a list of weapons combinations will be available for people who wish to add an element of randomness to what they bring to the list.
Rapier tourney donations will either go to KY Humane Society East Campus on Lyndon Lane or a Metro Animal Services collection box at the local Feeders Supply.

Rapier Class Title: From Down Here: Longsword Fighting for the Fun-Sized
Teacher: Lord Atreus Lofus
Time: 1pm-2pm
Where: Rapier List (half the list will be open for pickups)Height is not the deciding factor in a fight—control of distance, tempo, and line is. This class focuses on longsword strategies that allow shorter fighters to dictate engagement and disrupt the comfort zone of taller opponents. We will cover guard choice, closing angles, defense while advancing, pressure-based fighting, and how to turn your opponent’s reach into a liability. Open to all skill levels; masks optional, bring a Longsword if you have one but it is not required
