There are several types of Heralds. Three of the most common terms for the different types are:

  • Book Heralds: The research gurus, who know where and how to find medieval historical information.
  • Voice Heralds: The loud mouths, who can command the presence of 200+ people with their projecting voice.
  • Protocol Heralds: The intellectual scribblers, who record awards and elevations, and create ceremonies following medieval protocol.
